Sounkyo Onsen Choyo Resort Hotel - 大雪山国立公園 - Sounkyo Ropeway (黑岳滑雪场)

snow -3 °C

Sounkyo Onsen Choyo Resort Hotel --> 大雪山国立公園
Rise and shine! We went for our breakfast at 7am in Sounkyo Onsen Choyo Resort Hotel. After it, we have to start loading our luggage into the bus again. While waiting for the rest of the group members to load their luggage, we went around to take some photographs. We are surrounded by mountains and snow!

We proceed to the 大雪山国立公園 to look at Gin Ga No Taki [銀河の滝] and Ryu Sei No Taki [流星の滝]. Sad to say, we only can see the waterfall for 流星の滝 as 銀河の滝 is already frozen during winter time. There are a lot of people taking photographs at the water fall.

大雪山国立公園 --> Sounkyo Ropeway (黑岳滑雪场)
This is where a lot of people will come to this place for Skiing. It took about 7 minutes to reach the top of the mountain via cable car (Height of 1984 m).

To get to the best view, we have to climb up to the roof of the building. It is very windy upstairs. The wind is so strong that you might "fly" off if you did not stand firmly on the ground. The scenery is nice at the top. Luckily I wore my hat, thus my hair did not become a "bird nest".

In order to get to that signboard, I got to cut through the snow. Look at how thick is the snow.

This is the Ski Start Off Point where all Skier will sit on the cable chair and bring them to the top to Ski downwards.

Sitting on the snow. It is COLD!

The cable car ferries every 20 minutes. Due to time constrain, we must go after the "venture" to snow land. It take another 1-3 hours, which I can't remember exactly, to reach the next station: Otaru.

To continue in next entry.
