Honey Moon: Day 1 AM

Location: Singapore --> Hokkaido

sunny 14 °C

Changi Airport --> Narita Airport
We are supposed to meet at 9.30pm at Changi Airport Terminal 2, Row 3. After work, I rush home immediately to wash up and took a taxi with my dear to airport. We had reached at 9.00pm. As we had reached earlier than expected, I went to the McDonald to exchange 2 apple pies and bought 1 McChicken Meal. A lot of people gathered about Row 3. We have no idea where is our tour leader, since we only communicated through phone. And they are supposed to wear Blue/Yellow shirt for easy identification. She didn't. Luckily, we managed to spot her at the counter with a stack of paper. Who will hold a stack of paper near the counter? Obviously it is the Tour Leader. Her name is Veron. We took the "letter" from her and went to the check-in counter.

We went in ourselves. Since it is still early (we got an hour before boarding), we went to the camera store and he saw a 300mm lens @ $399. He almost wanted to buy it (buy it and bring oversea?? when we got a 300mm lens already). Luckily, he didn't, else it will be another luggage to carry.

At around 10.45pm onwards, we are able to board the plane. At a "lost", we wondered where is our tour leader... and FINALLY, she appeared. At that time, she starts giving out the filled up declaration form on our behalf. Good tour leader right?

This is a long journey flight. It will take off at 11.25pm, and reach around 6.30pm in Tokyo time. That means, it is a 6 hours journey flight. After the take-off, we have our dinner on board. (sorry, i can't remember what is the dinner content already). After dinner, we start watching movies provided in the flight. I had watched those all shows such as "Moulin Rouge", "Harry Potter", etc. Tried to play their game, quite boring. Eventually, sleep is the better option.

Narita Airport --> Haneda Airport
Finally, at around 6.20pm (quite accurate in their timing), we had landed on Narita Airport. As we leave the plane, we are wondering, do we need to wait for our tour leader? We didn't see her come out from the plane. So we walked slowly, and eventually reached the customs section. Still no sight of her. We stood there waiting for her about 5 min... and still no sight of her. So instead of waiting, we went to the customs counter. Finally cleared the customs and we proceed to the luggage collection area. AND she is there already. Looks like we are the last one to reach. LOL. She is fast!

After taking our luggage, we informed Veron that we need to purchase the Tokyo Metro Pass for our extension period. So she inform us to go outside, purchase it and find the tour guide named Billy. We bought a 2-day pass for the Tokyo Metro Subway. It cost 980 Yen per pax. Afterward, we found our tour guide. Since we are the first group to "leave" the group to purchase the pass, we waited outside for the rest of the group to come out. Quite some time for them to come out of the customs checkpoint.

Once our group is united, we proceed to the bus to take to Haneda Airport. It will take about 1 hour to travel on the airport expressway, so while we are on the bus, Billy introduced himself and briefing tell us about Japan. Some of us fallen asleep, some busy listening to his chatting. By the time we reached Haneda Airport, it is around 9am.

This is our air ticket.

"Our air ticket"

"Our air ticket"

Our next flight is at around 11am, and we have to check in by about 10am. So, while our tour leader and guide assisted in our check-in, we are free to roam about the airport, but must return by 9.45am. So we went to get our branch before setting off to Hokkaido. We bought a Bento and 1 pork sandwich. When we asked the cashier, "what meat is this?", he paused for a moment, wondering how to reply to us. "Chicken? Pork? Beef?", we asked. He still paused, and tried to find the word to reply us. Eventually, my Dear just "Oink Oink?". The cashier immediately nodded his head vigorously. So, sound language is still the universal language in the world. LOL.

Finally when the boarding time approaches, we noticed a sign board. According to Veron, it is asking any passenger is willing to give up the current seat and board the next flight which is 1 hour later. In return, it will give 10000 mileage points in return (I cannot remember the number of points). But nobody wants to. And there we go, towards Hokkaido, the land of "white" (it had snowed already).

I shall stop my entry for Day 1 Part 1. To continue again on the remaining section of the day soon.
